MTÜ Edela Eesti Arenduskeskus is promoting a call for participants for a Youth Exchange called “The art of peace!” which will take place in 20th until 30th July 2013 in Kastoria, Greece.
The main aims of this project are to gather a group of young people from 8 different countries and most of them from disadvantaged backgrounds, to raise their consciousness. The project objective are to overcome conflicts and to improve relations between countries by highlighting the cultural similitude and the beauty of artistic diversity.
-to acknowledge/ understand the source of conflict.
-to present the richness and interdependence of culture and art.
-to explain, that culture and art are the meanings of maintaining peace
To make this there will be several workshops, indoor and outdoor activities which non-formal education methods are used, intercultural nights, conferences by the experienced academics on this field and discussions.
This Exchange will bring together participants from Russia, Ukraina, Georgia, Portugal, Spain, Greece, Turkey and Estonia. The exchange will be held in English. There are 4 vacancies available and participants should have minimum 18 years old.
The Youth in Action programme will cover 100% of the accommodation, food and activities and will reimburse the participants with 70% of the travel costs.
There will be a participation fee of 20 Eur. per participant.
