Edela Eesti Arenduskeskus is promoting a call for participants for a Training Course “European Islam - Tradition, Cultural Diversity and Contemporary Challenges” which will take place from 22nd until 29nd October 2012 in Pristina, Kosovo.
The training course addresses the place and role of Islam in contemporary Europe with particular reference to Islamic cultural heritage in Europe and its contemporary relevance. Through a programme based on non-formal education methods, the TC will explore the place of religion, culture and identity in today’s Europe, foster reflection on the factors that influence the portrayal of Islam in European societies and its place in public debate.
The TC’s main objective is to equip participants - youth workers, volunteers and peer leaders - with tools and methods to address religious diversity issues in youth work.
This event will bring together 28 participants from different European Union and South-East Europe countries. The event will be held in English. There are 2 vacancies available and participants should have minimum 18 years old.
The Youth in Action programme will cover 100% of the accommodation, food and activities and will reimburse the participants with 70% of the travel costs. There will be a participation fee of 30 Eur. per participant.
