MTÜ Edela Eesti Arenduskeskus is promoting a call for participants for a Youth Exchange called "Do Not Stay Far Away !” which will take place on the 23th until 30th September 2013 in Batman, Turkey.
The main aim of this youth exchange is to provide young multipliers with information and practical skills about how to promote inter-religious dialogue, how to promote tolerance, respect and equality.This project want to underline the equality of all migrants (that often are from different religions). The aim of the project is to promote a true dialogue in the context of inter-religious dialogue as the key to find out the commonalities between different cultures, cutting the distance through knowledge will broke up all discrimination's and stereotype that the “others”, young immigrants, Roma people and minorities group have to face daily.We will say them ''DO NOT STAY FAR AWAY ''. Our project name will be also our motto name and slogan.
Exchange will be realized through discussions, workshops, working in groups, excursions focused on history and culture, cultural nights, evening parties and spare time spent together. Through realization of exchange we will develop personal organizational and entrepreneurial abilities.We will have practical workshops. Also workshops on intercultural learning are planned to point that even though we come from different societal and we have different cultural background, we can find the same basic rules that have main influence on our behavior and our attitude to life. We will have workshops about tolerance on cultural diversity and about the similarities and differences in the lifestyles of the people living in European countries.
This exchange will bring together 25 participants and 5 leaders from 5 different countries: Lithuania, Finland, Italy, Germany and Turkey. The exchange will be held in English. There are 6 vacancies available and participants should have 18-25 years old.
The Youth in Action programm will cover 100% of the accommodation, food and activities and will reimburse the participants with 70% of the travel costs.
